Onyado Nono Toyama Natural Hot Spring

This was the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan. The hotel offered great perks including public and private onsen in your own room, free noodles, popsicles and ice cream bars at a certain time, awesome massage chairs, free tram tickets, etc. The room was beautiful and spacious where I had room to leave my checked luggage opened and still have room to walk around. I was solo travelling and this was the hotel I chose to splurge on for two days and it was definitely worth it! I actually wished I stayed here the whole time I was in Toyama. I loved that everyone walks around the hotel in the cute pjs and slippers they provide you and everything was so clean. I need to come back here!!

Love the tatami design and I’m always a fan of the ramen! Also great that they provide tattoo seal for small tattoos to enter their onsen. On my departure date, I waited at the nearby bus stop for the bus to the airport which did not arrive. I returned to the hotel for help and it turned out that the bus schedule had changed and the hotel was not aware and Google Maps was not updated as well. The reception (Watanabe san?) was super kind to accompany me across the street to the bus stop to recheck the timings and ensured I could take the next bus.

We are a family of four and stayed in two double rooms for two nights. We were actually not looking for an Onsen hotel (which is what the hotel is), just for a nice place to stay in Toyama, after visiting Kanazawa and before setting out to the Tateyama-Kurobe alpine route. The hotel was clean and nice. Staff were friendly, Tatami rooms gave good atmosphere. Treats were a nice surprise: free ramen after 9 pm, free probiotics and sweet snacks at other hours, free tram rides. We didn’t get to use all these bonuses (and I’m the only one who tried the onsen downstairs) but they were very nice. Rooms were a little bit too small and not very comfy. There is a lot wooden onsen bath inside the room. Very close to the glass museum.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Onsen was just wonderful and relaxing. Location is very convenient. You can use trams to get around. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. They had all kinds of delicious food. Hot food was kept hot and cold food was kept cold on ice. They had even very expensive ingredients like salmon roe which is my favorite. Usually hotels don't have expensive stuff like that for buffet. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay for us.

Amazing onsen. Absolutely worth it just for this experience. Multiple baths, saunas etc. Not tattoo friendly for my partner (although they provide coverings if you have a small tattoo) Loved the tatami mats throughout the hotel. Happy hour ramen at 930.pm which is a nice evening snack. Conveniently located with attractions, food and bars near by. Highly recommend. Next time I am in Toyama I would definitely stay here again.
